How it works

It’s called body doubling: having someone nearby makes a task easier to start and finish.

Step 1

Settle in

Join the Zoom and stay muted. Camera on or off, whatever feels comfortable.

Step 2

Choose a task

Pick something you’ve been meaning to get to, big or small.

Step 3

Get to work

Work quietly alongside others. Come and go anytime during the hour.

What you could work on

A few ideas:

  • Start or update a budget
  • Pay a bill
  • Set up auto-pay
  • Check your account balances
  • Add annual bills to your calendar
  • Review the month’s spending
  • Cancel a subscription
  • Organize paper or digital files
  • Write down one money goal

What to expect

This time is

  • Drop-in. Come and go as you need.
  • Working side by side, quietly.
  • At your own pace.

This time isn’t

  • A place to share your numbers.
  • A workshop or presentation.
  • A Q&A. We don’t give advice or guidance.
  • A social hour for chit-chat.

We can’t see what you’re working on, and we won’t ask. Your tasks stay yours.

Upcoming sessions

What is body doubling?

Body doubling means working on a task with someone else nearby. Many people find it easier to start a task, and stick with it, when they’re not doing it alone, even if no one is helping. That’s the idea behind this hour: everyone works on their own thing, together.

Bring a task. We’ll keep you company.

Muted, private, and at your own pace.
