How We Help

Our team provides education through workshops, partnerships and books
to ensure that no one is left behind. Whether you’re learning introductory topics such as budgeting or retirement, our personal finance workshops will create a strong foundation for your financial literacy education.

Our two personal finance workshops provide an insight into personal finance, whether it be our introductory personal finance session or a more in-depth session that focuses on achieving lifelong financial security.

Our introductory personal finance session is based off our book, Adulting 101: A Guide to Personal Finance, which outlines 14 basic topics regarding financial literacy starting with budgeting all the way to reading a financial statement.

Our second personal finance workshop is tailored towards working adults and is based off our book, 5 Buckets, 4 Shovels, a Beach and a Map. This book elaborates on how to achieve financial security through life insurance, estate planning and retirement.

Workshops

Through our foundation we are able to give workshops on financial topics and distribute our book explaining all these topics in depth. Our organization offers two workshops: “Adulting 101” or “How 5 Buckets and 4 Shovels Can Achieve You Financial Security”. “Adulting 101” focuses on an introduction to personal finance topics, whether it’s budgeting and credit all the way to the stock market and taxes. These sessions are based off our personal finance guide, Adulting 101: A Guide to Personal Finance, where we discuss the 14 personal finance topics in depth.

Our second workshop, “How 5 Buckets and 4 Shovels Can Achieve You Financial Security”, is tailored towards working professionals looking to achieve lifelong financial security that will lead to a comfortable retirement. This session is focused on life insurance, estate planning and retirement. This workshop is based off our second personal finance guide, 5 Buckets, 4 Shovels, a Beach and. Map: A Guide to Financial Security, which outlines how to achieve financial security using the simple metaphor of buckets and shovels to plan your finances.

We plan to give workshops at high schools, colleges, organizations, charities and other communities that strive to educate our nation’s youth and adults. We sell our personal finance books through our nonprofit and 100% of the proceeds benefit the foundation. All the money from the foundation covers production costs so we are able to give people one of our financial guides, free of charge.

Personal Finance Books

Currently we have two personal finance books available for purchase, and all proceeds from sales support the Foundation directly.

Adulting 101: A Guide to Personal Finance, is focused on young adults and provides a basic understanding of their personal finances. We find that the basics of personal finance just aren’t being taught in high school and there’s a great need for this type of knowledge. Topics like handling a first paycheck, opening a bank account, credit card basics are just a few of the topics we want to tackle.

5 Buckets, 4 Shovels, a Beach and a Map: A Guide to Financial Security, is a book for adults of every age and income, written using simple language and illustrations to help convey the complicated subject of financial planning. The metaphors of buckets, shovels, a beach and a map are used to explain the process of creating a financial plan and opens your mind to the things you should be thinking about in order to achieve your financial goals.

Testimonials

The foundation is absolutely wonderful and I find it very helpful for young adults to gain knowledge on financial literacy because schools don’t teach us this
